Last year, I had the great pleasure of capturing the International Women’s Day evening hosted by Princes Risborough Town Council: an evening of celebration, inspiration and connection with guest speakers from a panel of remarkable women.

I have to say it was well worth attending and the talks were fascinating, from a very varied panel of guests.

Due to its overwhelming success, the event is being held again this year on Friday 8th March at the Brushwood Suite in Princes Risborough.

The event runs from 7pm with the panel starting at 7.30pm. Each speaker will have 15 minutes and there will be an opportunity to ask questions at the end.

Confirmed speakers to date include:
– Debbie Brock DL – Former Mayor of Milton Keynes, past High Sheriff of Buckinghamshire (2022-2023), a Deputy Lieutenant in Buckinghamshire

– Wing Commander Jenny Dennis – Royal Air Force High Wycombe Station Commander

– Lynda Rawsthrone – Local resident and Government Head of Property Professional and Director, Property Capability, Sponsorship and Standards.

The event is inclusive and open to all with seated tickets available to be purchased in advance from WeGotTickets for £5.50 (inc booking fee) or on the door (subject to availability) for £7. All proceeds will go to a women’s charity chosen by the Events and PR Committee.

Last year’s event was fantastic, so I highly recommend any locals attend the evening.
